Images of the brand new Nike Air Jordan 1 Golf Mule have gone viral on social media this week, and it's fair to say the majority of golf fans are not particularly enthused.

These new Nike Jordan golf shoes, which are set to launch on 2 February 2024, are heel-less slip-ons without any laces.

They will be available at select Jordan retailers and on Nike.com in a range of different sizes.

The Jordan 1 Golf Mule will retail for $110

SneakerNews.com was one of the first sites to reveal information about the new shoes.

NUCLR Golf also picked up on them and posted a 'cop or drop' graphic to see what golf fans thought of the new look.

Taking a quick look at some of the responses in the thread below and it would seem plenty of golf fans are turned off by them.

"Look like slippers," commented one user.

"Hideous, big yikes from me," wrote another.

SneakerNews.com wrote in its article:

"For 2024, the Air Jordan 1 sees another expansion in the form of the Air Jordan 1 Golf Mule.
"Simply a heel-less slip-on version of the existing Air Jordan 1 Low Golf, this easy-entry sneaker is made for those who emphasize style and comfort for their round of eighteen.
"With its Mule set-up, Jordan Brand deems the laces unnecessary as the classic shoe-strings and its accompanying eyelets are completely removed.
"The recent release of Travis Scott’s own AJ1 golf show has proven that people are willing to wear these made-for-golf AJ1s off the green, so don’t be surprised if and when these mules hit the pavement."

The new Nike Jordan drop comes two weeks after Tiger Woods confirmed he was parting ways with Nike following a successful 27-year partnership.

It is believed Woods is going to collaborate with his equipment supplier TaylorMade on a new 'Sunday Red' apparel deal.
