Having piqued the curiosity of equipment junkies around the world when he arrived to practice for the Hero World Challenge in Albany wearing a mystery pair of black golf shoes on Tuesday, Tiger Woods has confused matters further with his choice of footwear for Wednesday's pro-am.
While we've speculated that the mystery pair were Nike prototypes, Woods has somewhat put the cat amongst the pigeons by donning a pair of white FootJoy Premiere Series Wilcox shoes while he played nine holes today.
While Woods' penchant for FootJoy golf shoes is well documented since he shockingly opted to wear them during his return to golf at The Masters in 2022, his appearance in the aforementioned mystery pair appeared to have possibly signalled a return to Nike, the brand he has been synonymous with throughout his career.

Woods famously likes to keep his cards close to his chest, so we aren't expecting him to shed any additional light on his decision. However, his choice to wear FootJoy shoes out on the course today does suggest his return to Nike might be a bit further off than we first thought.
If we wanted to go full-on conspiracy theory, this could have been a sneaky marketing ploy from Nike in order to spark up some speculation regarding the 15-time major winner's footwear choice ahead of a big product launch in 2024, but even we will admit that does seem a bit farfetched.
We will be keeping a close eye on everything Woods does in the coming weeks, so if you're keen to find out more about what golf shoes Tiger Woods wears, be sure to check back for further updates.
