Alex Levy is ready to HIT BOMBS at Leopard Creek this week!

If Alex Levy's latest Instagram video is anything to go by then the Frenchman will be channeling his inner Bryson DeChambeau at this week's Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek.

Levy, 30, posted his video during his practice range session on Tuesday, with the caption: "Let's gooooooo (fireworks)."

Taking a closer look at his shot data, it looks like he was achieving a 294-yard carry. That might not exactly by rivalling DeChambeau's ridiculous 400-yard drives of late, but it's a start for someone who ranks 70th in the European Tour driving distance charts in 70th place on 301 yards.

The five-time European Tour winner has endured a tough time on the course of late with eight missed cuts in 2020, but he did pick up his best finish of the season with a tie for seventh in the Aphrodite Hills Cyprus Showdown earlier this month.

That might seem a fairly impressive yardage, but it falls someway short of the Tour's leader Wilco Nienaber, who currently averages a whopping 339 yards off the tee.

Nienaber, who achieved his best European Tour finish in his rookie season of second at the Joburg Open last week, was seen crushing one particular drive 439 yards:

The 20-year-old South African averaged a monstrous 416.5 yards off the tee on day one at the Joburg Open, which was incredibly 85 yards longer than the field average at Randpark Golf Club.
