Akshay Bhatia's win at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour was an incredible achievement for so many reasons.

Bhatia ended up winning the tournament by two shots ahead of Paul Haley II with birdies on three of his final four holes.

Helping him along the way on his bag was his girlfriend Presleigh Schultz, who may be a familiar name for those who circulate social media and follow her on Instagram.

Schultz is a content creator with just short of 16,000 followers on the popular platform. She also has over 76,000 followers on TikTok where she posts videos.

Her latest video on TikTok is a compilation of her week with Bhatia in the Bahamas. She has helped him to a groundbreaking victory, despite admitting earlier in the week that she knows nothing about golf.

Before the Valero Texas Open last April, Bhatia messaged Schultz on Instagram and the pair hit it off. They have been on an incredible journey that has culminated in a landmark victory in his career.

"What a week, so proud of @akshaybhatia_1 for his first win on the @kornferrytour such a cool feeling to be by his side this week with him!!" Schultz wrote in her latest Instagram post.

Bhatia turned a lot of heads when he decided to bypass college and turn professional at the age of 17. Now a 19-year-old, he has won on his first start as a full Korn Ferry Tour member.

He has made 18 fleeting appearances on the PGA Tour and he made the cut at the US Open last year. If he continues in this vein of form, we could see Bhatia as a member of the PGA Tour in the near future.
