Rickie Fowler sporting eye-catching new shoes for Players title defence
PUMA Golf has unveiled a limited edition, dual-colored TitanTour Ignite Tricks golf shoe, designed to "encourage golfers to have fun, play bold and play loud."
The new shoe (RRP £130) is being released in conjunction with a footwear launch across multiple PUMA business units including running, football and golf.
As part of the Tricks campaign, PUMA players Rickie Fowler, Sergio Agüero, Marco Reus, Cesc Fàbregas, Marco Verratti, Olivier Giroud and others will ‘Play Loud’ in the weeks ahead.
Fowler will sport these dual-colored, Tricks shoes on Thursday at this week's Players Championship where he returns as defending champion.
A limited number of these one-of-a-kind TitanTour Ignite Tricks shoes will be available in select retailers April 21, 2016.
PUMA’s two-coloured boot concept was originally inspired by Cameroonian Rigobert Song’s World Cup moment in 1998, when he decided on a whim to lace up two different colored PUMA King boots. His right was yellow, his left red.
As Song said, “you must be bold” to wear two different colors on each foot and that’s exactly what PUMA Tricks represents. A desire to Play Loud for all the world to see.
Engineered with PUMA’s proprietary Ignite foam, the new shoes are designed to deliver responsive cushioning, optimal rebound, and superior step-in comfort through every shot.
During a proprietary manufacturing process, a liquid Polyurethane (PU) blend is poured into a mold in the shape of the midsole. Ignite Foam has a high support factor and high compression set that results in both superior cushioning and minimal deformation over time.
This new foam technology is designed to make the shoe more responsive and release energy more efficiently throughout the swing, making Ignite footwear extra comfortable.
In addition to the IGNITE foam, the shoes also features signature technology, PWRCOOL powered by Outlast, which regulates foot temperature by utilising phase change materials that absorb, store and release heat for optimal thermal comfort.
