Charlie Woods achieves best ever finish at Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass
Charlie Woods did not win the Junior Players Championship at famed TPC Sawgrass, but he did chalk up a top-10 finish at the AJGA event.
Charlie Woods has finished inside the top 10 at the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, with the tournament now under a weather delay.
The 17-year-old, son of 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, carded a 1-under 71 in his final round to finish on 1-under in a tie for eighth on the leaderboard.
Woods began the final round four shots off the pace and endured an eventful closing 18 holes, making five birdies and four bogeys.
His 71 followed rounds of 71 and 73, leaving him with a three-round total of 215 and tied for eighth.
The result is Woods' best finish at the Junior Players Championship, one of the biggest events on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) schedule.
Woods, the 2025 AJGA Team TaylorMade Invitational winner, is a rising senior at The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach, Florida, and has committed to play college golf at Florida State from 2027.

Woods' final round was a mixture of birdies and bogeys.
Five birdies gave him opportunities to climb the leaderboard, but four bogeys kept him from making a bigger move.
Nevertheless, his 71 was enough to leave him at 1-under and in a tie for eighth.
At the top of the leaderboard, JP Lynch currently leads Brady Barnum by one shot with the 18th hole left to play.
Woods is currently ranked 306th in the AJGA rankings and 1,869th in the world amateur rankings.
His result also comes days after he signed a new deal with TaylorMade, the same equipment manufacturer used by his father.
