New Nike signing Tom Kim has revealed he spent Christmas day with Jordan Spieth, wife Annie and their son Sammy.

Kim - who asked this fantastic question after a slam-dunk eagle at the Sentry Tournament of Champions - has rented a property in Texas, near Spieth.

It will serve as his U.S. base and the 20-year-old is also working alongside Cameron McCormick, who has coached Spieth his entire career.

Turns out that when Spieth learnt Kim was spending the holiday alone he invited the young PGA Tour superstar over to his home.

Kim even managed to catch a flight home with Spieth after they both participated in the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, hosted by Tiger Woods

"I took the Jordan air," joked Kim after firing an opening round of 8-under 65 on Thursday in Kapalua, one-stroke behind leader Jon Rahm

Said Kim of his holiday season:

"My family wasn't home and I was kind of by myself. So I got to spend some time with the Spieths and kind of babysit Sammy, which was really cool. But, yeah, it's been amazing to kind of build a friendship and it was really cool to play with him today."

Asked about Spieth's son Sammy, Kim added:

"Oh, my God, Sammy's amazing. He's the most wonderful little boy I think I've ever met. He's just absolutely amazing. So definitely I've seen a lot of kids, but he's, he definitely makes it a lot easier."

Kim told the media that Spieth likes to joke with him the pair got along so well because they are so close in age.

Big things are expected of Kim in 2023.

While it might be a stretch to claim he has shot to superstardom, he represents one of the PGA Tour's hottest prospects.

Kim reportedly turned down an offer from the LIV Golf League

After signing with Nike earlier this month, he claimed he wanted to emulate the career of Woods.

Kim has already won twice on the PGA Tour.

Last year he became the youngest player since the aforementioned Woods in 1996 to score two victories before the age of 21.
