M1 Pro is the newest member of the Motocaddy family and also the most compact ever folding trolley in the brand's history.

Similar to the previous S3 Pro, the new model features a three-point folding system that has been designed to make it more than 40% smaller than its S-Series counterparts.

If truth be told, I didn't find this the easiest folding electric trolley at first, particularly in comparison to my previous Powakaddy Freeway Digital, but performance-wise, the M1 Pro is extremely hard to fault.

Boasting a sporty look and an alpine white colour - it's also available in black - the twin-tube frame not only allows an 18 hole Lead-acid or 18 hole Lithium battery to remain in its tray when folded, but also features an integrated accessory station, an easy-to-use handle height adjuster, plus an inbuilt device cradle, accommodating a wide range of GPS devices which can also be powered from the patented USB charging port.

While my mobile phone will always be on silent out on the course, I must admit I do find the mobile phone holder particularly useful while walking around the course.

As I mentioned earlier, the folding and setting up of this electric trolley isn't the easiest but practice makes perfect as they say. I once remember how frustrated I got when trying to ride my bike!

I'd certainly recommend practising setting up the trolley and folding away several times at home, rather than attempting the feat for the first ever time five minutes before your tee time.

I'd also recommend that you follow the useful and rather funky Motocaddy M1 Pro video on the Motocaddy website and follow the numbered sequence that is stamped on the frame of the trolley. This will make life much easier for you, I promise.

Once you've got yourself comfortable with the setting up and collapsing of the trolley, you'll realise you've got yourself an extremely compact and lightweight product that will fit snuggly in the boot of your car. The compact folded size is 336mm x 497mm x 560mm. It really defies belief!

The M1 Pro features incredibly comfortable handles that can be adjusted to fit your height, and an easy-to-use speed dial that's perfect for even the most untechnological person like myself.

Another great aspect of the M1 Pro is the adjustable bag supports. I can't tell you how many times I was forced to wrestle with my bag while using the Freeway Digital. I no longer have such problems.

In addition to a USB charging port, the M1 Pro offers Adjustable Distance Control (ADC) – a system that allows the user to set the trolley to travel independently up to 45 metres.

The trolley offers nine different speed settings and is powered by a whisper-quiet 230w motor, along with either an 18 hole Lead-acid battery or a powerful, super-lightweight Lithium version available in both 18 and 36 hole options.

Before first use, M1 Pro requires at least five hours charge time, and the high quality, energy efficient lithium battery charger will juice up your trolley ready to go.

Then you can hit any golf course, no matter the terrain and easily power your way across the turf using the soft and comfortable ergonomic handles to guide you safely, quickly and effortlessly.

The M1 Pro is available in black or alpine matt finishes from £399.99 with 18 hole Lead-acid battery, £549.99 with 18 hole Lithium battery and £599.99 with the 36 hole Lithium option.
