Fly-Z Hybrid
Lots of forgiveness on offer, middle of the pack for distance

Need To Know

Very forgiving, looks great, soft feel
Thick hosel near clubhead

PRICE: £139.00 YEAR: from 2015

What do you do if there's a club you want to bag but you hate the colour of it? Well, Cobra has put an end to the aforementioned conundrum by releasing its latest hybrid is four colour - white, black, blue or orange.

All the options look superb, and the white lines on the face provide a delightful contrast with the face. We're also big fans of the Cobra sign being used an alignment aid. The profile is that of a classic hybrid, if on the deep side, front to back.

The Fly-Z hybrid has a Speed Channel around the edge of the face. This, in conjunction with the E9 face, produces a forgiving and consistent club. Mass has also been moved to low and back on the club, thanks to the "Back CG Zone" weight  on the sole, further increasing forgiveness. From all over the face, there is lots of help on offer.

The adjustable loft sleeve is easy to use, but it does thicken the hosel near the clubhead which may put some players off. The SmartPad on the sole of the club helps the club pivot as you change the loft, and keeps the club square at impact.

In the distance stakes it is around middle of the pack, and it provides a buttery-smooth feel.

Verdict

Lots of forgiveness on offer, middle of the pack for distance. Looks great, and players get to pick between four different crown colours.
