A few months ago, PING launched its new premium, high-performing 2019 Autumn/Winter men’s apparel range, which enhances the brand's Sensor technology platform and, for the first time, features innovative and revolutionary PrimaLoft Gold Insulation with CrossCore Technology.

The latest collection reinforces PING’s commitment to helping golfers look and play their best, by combining a fresh and contemporary winter palette with premium performance fabrics and unwavering attention to detail.

Following the overwhelming success of the Norse PrimaLoft® Series, PING has expanded the partnership with market-leading performance insulation brand, PrimaLoft®, for Autumn/Winter 2019 and features an updated and wider range of premium, high-performing styles.

The new Norse PrimaLoft Zoned® Jacket II is engineered from PrimaLoft® Silver Active Insulation, a lightweight, breathable, high-performing insulation technology, with permanent water-resistance that provides ultimate comfort and enhanced performance for golfers in a range of playing conditions.

The Norse PrimaLoft Zoned® Jacket II is a hybrid jacket engineered for core warmth and wind protection, ensuring the golfer stays warm and comfortable on the course and throughout the changing seasons. Zoned PrimaLoft® Silver Active Insulation to the front and back combines with a lightweight, stretch outer fabric to ensure core warmth and complete freedom of movement throughout the swing. High levels of breathability and a water-resistant finish make this the ultimate hybrid golf jacket.

VERDICT

The new Norse PrimaLoft Zoned® Jacket II from PING offers you a lightweight jacket that keeps you both warm and dry in challenging weather conditions.

I was surprised with how much protection the jacket offered, given its weight and the soft, comfortable feel of the material, but there was no need to change to a bigger rain jacket when caught in a shower.

There was also a lot of wind protection, which coming from such a lightweight jacket is fantastic. The material is also pretty stretchy and you still feel like you can get a lot of movement in your swing, without being restricted by the jacket which helps both physically and mentally on the course.

The Norse PrimaLoft Zoned® Jacket II from PING is also pretty versatile, as the modern design allows you to wear the jacket both on and off the course.

With an RRP of £130, you're getting a premium jacket with a lot of protection, without the weight and restriction you might associate with a jacket in this category.
