As the old adage goes, drive for show, putt for dough.

Nowhere is this truer than on the PGA Tour, where tens of millions of dollars can change hands on the outcome of a single putt.

As such, Tour Pros invest countless hours finding the perfect putter to suit the smallest minutiae of their putting strokes. And once they find one they like, they often hang on to it for years or even decades.

Even so, there are certain putter models that are definitively more popular on tour than others, and some stand out for delivering incredible success on tour.

As such, with each player's choice of club a huge driving factor in influencing the buying habits of golfers around the world, as we look back on a captivating 2026 PGA Tour season we thought it a great opportunity to dive deep into the putters that delivered the most wins on the PGA Tour this year.

Some of the models, whether new or old, might surprise you.

1. TaylorMade Spider Tour

Wins: 12

The biggest success story this century from a putting perspective, TaylorMade's Spider was once again by far the winningest putter on tour this year, delivering Rory McIlroy another Masters, Aaron Rai's PGA Championship and 10 other PGA Tour wins. Interestingly, the Spider Tour X accounted for 11 of these 12 total wins, with just a solitary win for the Spider Tour V in the hands of the aforementioned Rai. The original Spider shape, despite still being produced and used on tour, had none.

2. Scotty Cameron Phantom

Wins: 5

As the overwhelming choice of Tour Players, Scotty Cameron was always going to have a prominent place in this list. But in a year indicative of the shift towards mallet putters on tour, it was the more forgiving Phantom range of the brand's putters that ultimately won out the most. Popular high-MOI shapes like the Phantom 9.5 and Phantom 5 won out five times on total this year, with names like Cameron Young, Justin Rose, Jackson Koivun and Russell Henley all using the model on the way to their respective wins.

T3. Scotty Cameron GoLo

Wins: 3

Sitting just below the Phantom range is Scotty Cameron's ever-popular half-moon GoLo range, which much like the Odyssey Rossie still enjoys a cult following on tour. The GoLo has claimed a trio of wins thus far, most recently at the Wyndham Championship where Michael Brennan prevailed, finishing second in strokes gained/putting in the process.

T3. Bettinardi DASS

Wins: 3

Bettinardi's success on tour largely boils down to the form of key endorsee Matt Fitzpatrick, and luckily for the American brand, he spend much of the early part of this year as arguably the best player in the world. Fitzpatrick had one of his signature DASS Fitz prototype models in the bag for all three of his wins.

T5. Odyssey White Hot OG

Wins: 2

More than a quarter of a century after its introduction, Odyssey's White Hot insert remains a popular choice even at the highest levels of the game. The White Hot OG is, of course, a re-release that has been updated plenty of times over the years, but both the old school #1 and Rossie models scored wins this year, putting paid to the theory that you need the latest and greatest tech to prevail on tour.

T5. PING PLD

Wins: 2

PING's premium PLD range of milled putters is popular among the brand's tour roster, delivering a classic milled feel and luxurious build quality. Kristoffer Reitan used a Ping Ally Blue H with a PLD milled face for his debut win at the Truist Championship, while Viktor Hovland also used a more classic PLD DS-72 for his Travelers Championship triumph.

T5. PING Scottsdale Tec

PING's Scottsdale TEC range has been one of the most undeniable equipment success stories on tour this year. The new range of high MOI putters has proven popular with critics and tour players alike, with Wyndham Clark and Tony Finau both immediately putting one in the bag. The former would go on to claim both his wins on tour this year with a PING Scottsdale Tec Ally Blue Onset, most famously winning the U.S. Open but also putting in the best putting performance of the season at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
