Not only does the TaylorMade M5 Fairway wood look like an absolute beast, but it provides some monsterous stats too. Due to the success of Twist Face technology in TaylorMade drivers, the golfing public were all calling for it in fairway woods and this year, TaylorMade did just that.

When GolfMagic had the chance to hit this at The Kingdom, it was one of our favourites all day. The M5 Fairway wood provided some huge distances, seriously huge. Having Twist Face featured in the clubhead was clearly working well, with miss-hit shots being much more forgiving than previous fairway woods.

What we found impressive was the moveable 65g weight, yes that's right, 65 grams. The weight makes up to around 30% of the clubhead and by simply sliding the steel weight, you're able to create generous draw or fade adjustability. Combine the adjustable weight system with the 12-position loft sleeve and you have one of the most adjustable fairway woods on the market.

At an RRP of £369, it's a hefty price tag for a fairway wood. But this is one of, if not the, most technically advanced fairway woods ever. The use of Twist Face in a fairway wood is a game-changer and we expect this club to make waves in the golf industry. Available for preorder on January 14 and at retail on February 15 and the M5 Fairway Wood is available in Rocket 3/14° (RH only), 3/15° and 5/18° lofts.
