Anthony Kim has backed Jon Rahm after the former World No.1 confirmed he will no longer compete on LIV Golf.

Rahm's lawyer, John Beck, told a US bankruptcy court hearing on Wednesday that the 31-year-old Spaniard had independently reviewed the proposed terms for LIV 2.0 before deciding they were unacceptable.

Kim was quick to offer his support.

“Good for Jon Rahm for making whatever decision he thinks is best for him and his family. Great competitor, better guy,” Kim wrote on X.

Kim's classy message comes amid growing uncertainty over LIV's player lineup ahead of the 2027 season.

While Rahm has decided against continuing with the league, Kim is widely expected to remain if the proposed 2.0 model goes ahead under new BC Partners Credit investment.

But the 41-year-old American has yet to formally confirm his plans.

LIV Golf host Arlo White also reacted to Rahm's announcement, praising the two-time major champion while appearing to suggest Legion XIII is now a thing of the past.

“It was a pleasure watching this man compete. He is fierce. Can’t blame him for doing the right thing for himself, right now,” White wrote.

“LIV 2.0 expected this, so whereas it is a blow to lose such a talent, it changes nothing. I will miss Legion XIII tho, a very cool brand.”

Over the past three seasons, Legion XIII has been captained by Rahm, with Tyrrell Hatton, Caleb Surratt and Tom McKibbin completing the team.

With Rahm confirming his exit from LIV, there is expectation that Hatton will follow suit.

Hatton's management declined comment when approached by GolfMagic.

Kim has become one of LIV Golf's most intriguing figures since making his remarkable return to professional golf, and his comeback reached another milestone this season when he secured a memorable victory in Adelaide.

After years away from competitive golf, the triumph represented the biggest moment of Kim's career resurgence yet, underlining that the American is far more than simply a compelling story of a player who walked away and found his way back.

Now, with LIV entering a potentially defining new era, Kim could find himself playing an important role in the league's next chapter — both on the course and as one of its most recognisable personalities.

Elsewhere, Richard Bland has confirmed he intends to remain with LIV for its new era, telling Flushing It that he has no desire to return to the DP World Tour and start again from the bottom.

“I’m 54 next year and I’m done chasing after the game and trying to work my way up the ladder,” Bland said.

Adrian Meronk, meanwhile, has confirmed he will not extend his LIV contract into 2027.

The Pole's decision comes just days after he won his fifth DP World Tour title at the Dunhill Links.

Both Bland and Meronk have been competing on Martin Kaymer's Cleeks GC.

Sergio Garcia has also become a free agent after exiting his original LIV agreement and has confirmed he intends to play on the DP World Tour next season as he looks to target a place in Luke Donald's European Ryder Cup team.

Garcia has not completely ruled out LIV 2.0, leaving his own future open.

With many LIV players still weighing up their options this month, the league's lineup could look very different in 2027.
