Legion -29 (8*)
Rahm's Legion have now pulled three shots ahead in the team event.
With all four player scores on a team counting there is a lot of volatility on the board.
The title defence is very much on.
Legion -29 (8*)
Rahm's Legion have now pulled three shots ahead in the team event.
With all four player scores on a team counting there is a lot of volatility on the board.
The title defence is very much on.
Rahm's Legion XIII have hit the front for the first time in the final round.
The defending champs are now one shot ahead as we approach the back nine.
Legion XII | -27 |
Torque GC | -26 |
Stinger GC | -21 |
Niemann -15 (6), Surratt -10 (7)
Two shot swing.
Niemann bogey at 6.
Surratt birdie at 7.
Only five ahead now.
Surratt -9 (6)
Surratt birdies the par-4 6th to move into a tie for second with Watson.
The race for silver is exciting at least, with seven players within two shots of second place.
Niemann -16, Watson -9 (4)
Niemann tugged his approach left into the rough and he left himself a testy 12 footer for par.
But as has been the case for 40 holes at JCB, Niemann's putter stays hot.
His par putt caught the left side and went down.
Watson has cut the deficit to seven shots after making a birdie from seven feet.
Niemann -16 (3)
Niemann gets up and down for birdie on the par-5 3rd and he's now 16-under par and EIGHT shots clear of Meronk, Surratt and Watson.
Niemann's Torque GC now also lead by three shots over Legion XIII in the team event.
Surratt -8 (3)
Few people expected Surratt to be the leading member of Legion this week but that's exactly the case.
Surratt has just popped in a birdie on the par-5 3rd to move into a tie for second on 8-under par.
Jon Rahm's Legion XIII are making a big push to try and catch Niemann's Torque today.
The defending champions are now just one shot behind Torque.
It looks like the team event will be close at least...
Watson -7 (2)
Watson drops one at the short par-4 2nd and he's back in the pack at 7-under par.
Rahm -6
Rahm hits arguably the shot of the week so far with a stunning chip-in birdie from 60 yards left of the green at the par-4 6th.
A chip-in birdie-birdie start for the defending champ pushes him up to 6-under par.
But that's still nine back.
Two hole outs. Two birdies. π@jonrahmofficial is feelinβ it early πͺ

Meronk -8 (1)
Meronk moves into a tie for second with a birdie at the opener.
Seven back.
Niemann -15 (1)
Nerves?
Yeah, of steel.
Niemann splits the fairway then fires a dart to six feet left of the pin.
The Chilean converts the birdie putt to move to 15-under par and strengthen his lead to seven shots.
The engraver is already at work.
His playing partners Watson and Casey both make par at 1.
It could prove to be an even better day for Niemann with his Torque GC four shots ahead in the team event.
DeChambeau -6, Rahm -5 (1*)
Opening birdies for the pre-tournament favourites on their 1st hole.
Both way off the pace but pleasing starts nonetheless.
Koepka -1 (1*)
GolfMagic caught Brooks Koepka grinding hard on the putting green late last night, and it looks like it was all worth it.
Last player to leave the putting green tonight, Brooks Koepka. Not the first time this week either. Grinding hard no doubt with Ryder Cup on his mind. #LIVGolfpic.twitter.com/BXF4kNaht8
β Andy Roberts (@AndyRobertsGolf) July 26, 2025
Koepka has just drilled a driver to 12 feet on the par-4 12th, his 1st of the day, and he's just buried the putt from right to left for eagle.
Great start.
Brooks into the red.
.@BKoepka drives the 324-yard par 4, 12th for eagle out the gate π₯
