Charley Hull has given fans a first look at her upcoming Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut, sharing a glimpse of her photoshoot in Ibiza on social media.

The 30-year-old English golfer posted a preview alongside the caption: “I did a thing.”

Hull is one of 11 women set to feature in the magazine’s 2027 issue, which is scheduled for release next year.

The photoshoot marks another high-profile moment for Hull, who has become one of the most recognisable personalities in women’s golf thanks to her performances on the course and outspoken character away from it.

Although best known for her achievements in professional golf, Hull’s growing profile has helped her attract attention well beyond the fairways.

Ibiza also holds some memorable personal history for the Englishwoman.

Speaking to Golfweek last week, Hull recalled a teenage night out on the island that nearly resulted in her getting a tattoo across her forehead, before her best friend persuaded her to choose a less conspicuous location.

Hull joins star-studded Sports Illustrated Swimsuit line-up

Hull’s debut will see her join a 2027 line-up featuring a range of high-profile names from sport and entertainment.

Among the other women expected to appear are WNBA player Azzi Fudd, model Brooks Nader and Jena Sims, the wife of five-time major champion Brooks Koepka.

The full issue is due to be released in 2027, with Hull’s social media post offering fans an early glimpse of her appearance.

For Hull, the announcement comes during another significant period in her golf career.

Hull turned professional in 2013 and made history at just 17 years old when she became the youngest player to represent Europe in the Solheim Cup.

Since then, she has won three times on the LPGA Tour and reached a career-high world ranking of No. 3 in February. She also finished runner-up at the U.S. Women’s Open earlier this year.

Her achievements have helped establish her among the leading figures in women’s golf, while her candid interviews and distinctive personality have made her a popular figure with fans.

Hull speaks out on slow play

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit announcement comes just days after Hull made headlines for her views on another major talking point in professional golf: slow play.

During an interview with Golfweek last week, Hull called for significantly tougher punishments for players who repeatedly fail to keep up with the pace of play on the LPGA Tour.

“I think you should get banned from the tour for a year or a three-month ban to start off with, because I want to play golf and I'm sure the slow players want to play golf,” Hull said.

“If the punishment is strict enough, you're not gonna play slower. You would make sure you'd play a lot quicker than we do.”

Known as one of the fastest players on the professional circuit, Hull also suggested reducing tournament fields to around 100 players, cutting weekend fields to between 50 and 55 competitors and introducing two-player groups throughout the final rounds.

Her comments came amid renewed attention on the LPGA's efforts to tackle slow play, following a two-shot penalty for her Solheim Cup team-mate Carlota Ciganda during the third round of the Buick LPGA Shanghai.

For now, however, Hull has given fans something different to look forward to, with her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut set to provide a fresh perspective on one of golf’s most talked-about stars.

The full 2027 issue is still some way off, but her Ibiza photoshoot has already offered an intriguing preview of what is to come.
