Matthew Baldwin has been speaking to reporters after carding a two-over 72 on day one of The Open.
The Royal Birkdale member had the honour of hitting the opening tee shot.
"It was an incredible feeling," he said.
"It was terrifying. It was overwhelming.
"But it's something that will stay with me for the rest of my life."
He added: "I'm not even sure I lifted my head, if I'm honest.
"I remember waving at a couple of people, but at the end of the day, your focus is obviously hitting the golf shot, isn't it.
"There's time to wave at people after, I guess."
Scheffler -3, Hatton -2, Dechambeau -2 (6)
Scottie Scheffler misses the green at the par-three sixth.
He catches his second thin and his ball rolls out some 20 feet past the cup.
That's a bogey.
DeChambeau and Hatton walk away with stress-free pars.

Three bogeys in a row for Justin Rose.
He needs to turn things around. And fast.

A monster putt from across the green drops at the sixth.

Didn't he miss the cut last week?!
"Straight back off the canvass," says Sky Sports' Nick Dougherty.
Ominous.

I took a stroll out to the first tee to witness Tommy Fleetwood's opening tee shot.
I couldn't see much though because of the amount of support he has this morning.
It's been a steady start so far from Fleetwood nonetheless.
His playing partners are also on level, though Rahm is already gesticulating having missed two good opportunities for birdie.

The American has missed all three cuts in the majors this year.
Before The Open began, he faced criticism from Sir Nick Faldo, who accused the LIV Golf recruit of having "zero strategy".
DeChambeau fired back, insisting he's unbothered by the comments.
He also believes that anything other than a win this week will be "disappointing".

The Swede has just made the turn in one-under.
