3M Open Final Round Tee Times: Jackson Koivun opens up three-shot lead; Scottie Scheffler six back

Jackson Koivun will take a three-shot lead into the final round of the 3M Open after producing one of the most impressive rounds of the PGA Tour season so far at TPC Twin Cities.

The 21-year-old fired a sensational 10-under 61 on Saturday to move to 20-under par for the tournament, setting himself up for a remarkable opportunity just weeks after turning professional.

Koivun's stunning third round saw him close with an eagle-three on the par-5 18th, completing a spectacular back of 28 (a 3M Open record).

He also now becomes the youngest player to hold a 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour this season.

Now, the rising star faces the biggest test of his young career as he attempts to convert his first 54-hole lead into a maiden PGA Tour victory.

He also has the chance to etch his name into the 3M Open record books once again. The tournament scoring record currently stands at 24-under par, meaning Koivun needs to shoot 66 or better on Sunday to set a new benchmark at TPC Twin Cities.

Behind him, Emiliano Grillo and Ben Kohles are the closest challengers at 17-under par, while Michael Brennan and Chandler Phillips remain firmly in contention at 16-under heading into Sunday's finale.

Scottie Scheffler, meanwhile, produced a remarkable late surge to keep a slim outside chance of victory alive. 

The World No. 1 closed his third round with a stunning back-nine 29, including an eagle-two at the par-4 16th, to card a 7-under 64 and move to 14-under par.

But at six shots off the pace, Scheffler will need to go remarkably low on Sunday in order to capture his second title of the season and 21st of his PGA Tour career.

Scheffler is making his first start at the 3M Open, and first ever trip to Minnesota this week.

Koivun will tee off in the final pairing alongside Grillo at 12:40 PM CDT, with the duo set to close out the action at TPC Twin Cities.

The penultimate pairing sees Kohles and Brennan tee off at 12:30 PM CDT.

Scheffler will go out nearly an hour before the final pairing at 11:50 AM CDT alongside Brian Harman.
