Cameron Young captured his second title of the season and the third of his PGA Tour career with a dominant display at the Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral.
Young, 28, closed with a composed four-under 68 to finish the week on 19-under par, enough for a commanding six-shot victory over world number one Scottie Scheffler.
Ben Griffin finished in solo third on 12-under par, with Si Woo Kim and 2016 Doral winner Adam Scott rounding out the top five on 11-under par. Scott continued to prove his admiration of Doral with a best-of-the-day 64.
Young took a six-shot lead into Sunday's final round and he overcame an early scare when calling a penalty on himself in the second fairway.
To his credit, he accepted the decision of a one-shot penalty by a PGA Tour rules official, and then duly went on to save par from 160 yards.
While the chasing pack put some early heat on him, Young once again put his foot on the acceleator with birdies on the third, fifth and eighth.
A birdie sandwiched in between bogeys on the 11th and 13th followed, and then Young well and truly etched his name on the brand new Cadillac Championship trophy with further birdies on 15 and 16.
Young becomes the first wire-to-wire winner at Doral since Andy Bean in 1977.
"To me it felt like I had different parts of my game working on different days," said Young, reflecting on what worked well at Doral.
"I drove it much better today, and I putted great the first two days.
"Thankfully, I feel like I've got a lot of tools right now, and through the week I was able to use different parts of the game to keep moving in the right direction."
On reflecting on his self-imposed penalty in the middle of the second fairway, Young said: "It was a real tough one to take, but the worst case there was that I made bogey and then still would have a three or four-shot lead at the time, but thankfully made par.
"It was really unfortunate, I would love to have the one back I had to give there but at the end of the day, if I had to pick a time to give one back it wasn't the worst time."
Young now moves back to world number three, pushing an equally red-hot Matt Fitzpatrick to fourth.
Scheffler's solo second moves him to the top of the FedEx Cup standings, with Fitzpatrick in second and Young in third.
Young collects a huge cheque for $3.6m for winning the fifth Signature Event of the PGA Tour season where there was a $20m prize purse on the line.
Scheffler's runner-up finish banks him $2.16m.
Young has now won three times on the PGA Tour in exactly nine months, which equates to 14 events.
He had gone 93 starts without a PGA Tour victory to his name before then.
Young won his first PGA Tour title at the Wyndham Championship in August 2025, and he then added the PGA Tour's flagship event of the season, The Players Championship, when defeating Fitzpatrick by one on the 72nd hole.
With PGA Tour titles racking up, Young knows the next step in his career is a major title, and thankfully he doesn't have long to wait with the PGA Championship taking place at Aronimink in two weeks time.
"I'm looking forward to major season, it's a great time of the year," said a confident Young.
"We've got a great event at the Truist in Charlotte next week first, so that's where I'm going now, and then obviously all eyes will be on the PGA."
The famous Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral was making its 10-year return to the PGA Tour this week, but under a new tournament.
U.S. President Donald Trump arrived on site during Sunday's final round at Doral.
