The Memorial Tournament will continue this weekend without some big names.

After 36 holes at the Jack Nicklaus designed Muirfield Village, America's J.T. Poston has a one-shot lead.

The 33-year-old tore round the Ohio venue on Friday, carding a seven-under 65 to reach nine-under.

Poston's round included eight birdies and only one dropped shot.

He leads compatriot Ryan Gerard by one stroke at the halfway stage.

England's Tommy Fleetwood is still in contention, whilst Sam Burns, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Alex Fitzpatrick and recent PGA Championship winner Aaron Rai are also inside the top 10.

Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are well off the pace.

Despite being a 72-man field, the 2026 Memorial Tournament carried a 36-hole cut for the top 50 players and ties.

Some big names missed the cut at the penultimate $20m signature event.

GolfMagic has decided to take a look at those who made an early exit.
