The PGA Tour has confirmed preferred lies will be in play for Sunday's final round of the Valero Texas Open.

The decision was made by tournament officials due to storms and a heavy deluge of rain hitting TPC San Antonio during Saturday's delayed third round. The rain has also since continued to pour down on Sunday.

The leaders were only able to play six holes on Saturday.

Play resumed early on Sunday, as the rain continued.

As a result of the weather forecast, the PGA Tour deemed it necessary for players to lift, clean and place their balls in the fairway for the final round.

They also did this in the first round, but not in the second or third rounds.

As it stands, Scotland's Robert MacIntyre still leads the way.

A host of players are going in pursuit of MacIntyre though, including Japan's Ryo Hisatsune, America's Michael Kim, England's Matt Wallace and Sweden's Ludvig Aberg.

The PGA Tour has also confirmed there will be no re-draw for Sunday's final round.

So it means final-round groups will remain the same as the third round.

MacIntyre is looking to become the first player to successfully defend the Texas Open since Zach Johnson in 2009.

He's also looking to continue an incredible run of left-handed victories in this tournament.

Should MacIntyre go on to win, it would mark the first time in PGA Tour history that three consecutive left-handed players have won the event.

Akshay Bhatia won in 2024, and Brian Harman won in 2025.
