Rory McIlroy very much appears to be making the most of some well-deserved time off after his top-10 finish at The Open on home soil at Royal Portrush last week.

McIlroy, 36, has swapped the fairways for the French Riviera this week now that all four majors are over for another season.

The World No.2 has just been spotted soaking up the sun at a beach club in Saint Tropez.

A group of party-goers caught McIlroy's attention by flashing a phone with the message: “Where’s the Green Jacket?”

Rory didn’t miss a beat as he walked over and replied with a grin: “It’s on the yacht!”

Watch the hilarious video here:

McIlroy memorably slipped on the coveted Green Jacket at The Masters in April to become just sixth player in the modern era to complete the career grand slam.

The Northern Irishman joined Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan and Gene Sarazen in the record books.

McIlroy, who finished T7 in his home Open at Royal Portrush last Sunday, has won three times so far this season.

He not only won The Masters but also The Players Championship for a second time and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am for the first time.

As a result of his performances this year, McIlroy lies second behind Scottie Scheffler in the season-long FedEx Cup standings.

Scheffler has won four times so far this season including etching his name on the famous Claret Jug at the 153rd Open last weekend.

The World No.1 and defending FedEx Cup champion will get a chance to emulate McIlroy and complete the career grand slam at the US Open next June where the final round will fall on his 30th birthday.

Scheffler's manager fired a cheap shot in the direction of McIlroy after The Open.

McIlroy and Scheffler will return to action at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in August, which marks the start of the Playoffs.

Once the Playoffs are over, McIlroy and Scheffler will then focus their attentions on the 2025 Ryder Cup in New York at the end of September.

Until then though Rory, enjoy the party!
