The insane stats that illustrate one club brand's dominance on tour this year

While the market for club sales is more competitive than ever, one company remains so dominant on tour it's almost unfair.

We're well accustomed to Titleist being ubiquitous at the very upper echelons of golf.

Their tour golf balls, the Pro V1 and Pro V1x, have been the gold standard for going on three decades. Titleist tour caps and staff bags are among the most commonly sighted accessories at every level of the professional game, from qualifier series to major championships. Titleist equipment has, to some extent, found its way into the bag of basically every world number one at some stage in their careers.

What often gets lost, however, is exactly how dominant the Massachusetts company is at the tour level. While sales of golf equipment at a grassroots level are much more evenly split, with each of golf's so-called "big five" eating up varying chunks of market share across different club types, Titleist stands clear above the rest in terms of their presence at tournaments worldwide.

According to PGA Club Tracker, 124 active touring professionals use some form of Titleist equipment, almost double that of their closest rival in TaylorMade and nearly triple that of Callaway.

If this is still hard to put into perspective, consider this: Titleist was not only overwhelmingly the most-played ball on tour this year, but also the most played brand of driver, iron and wedge.

Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls comprised a mind-blowing 73% of all golf balls teed up in 2025, seven times that of their nearest rival. Half of all PGA Tour events this year were won with a Titleist golf ball.

Meanwhile, Titleist models accounted for 40% of all drivers used on Tour, a third of iron sets and more than half of wedges – all figures more than doubling that of their nearest competitor. There were also more Titleist hybrids and utility irons in play this season than all other brands combined.

With more and more upstart brands taking the fight to legacy brands in retailers, online stores and pro shops across the land, the fight for sales has never been fiercer. But for now at least, Titleist's position on pro golf's utmost perch seems very much assured.
