TaylorMade is re-releasing Rory McIlroy's irons for a limited time only
The legendary blades used by the Masters champion are back on the market, but you'll need to get in fast.

Rory McIlroy holds a standing in the TaylorMade staff team only matched by players of truly legendary status. His position as the unofficial face of the brand, alongside his six major victories, earn him a level of care and access to clubs that go a step above and beyond even what most tour pros are accustomed to.
This means clubs not just customised to suit his game, but fashioned from the ground-up specifically for him.
As such, Rory is one of the only players on tour to play a model, named the RORS PROTO, developed specifically for his exact game and used by no-one else. Only Tiger Woods has been afforded the same privilege in the TaylorMade stable, his own P7 TW irons being used by Scottie Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood respectively.
While Tiger's irons have been made available semi-regularly over the years, copies of Rory's clubs have been signficantly harder to get your hands on. However TaylorMade has dropped a shock limited edition release of the RORS PROTO irons for the second time in two years, giving avid fans (and those deluded enough to think they can actually hit these irons) another bite of the cherry.

The irons themselves are actually pretty straightforward bits of kit, forged using a multi-step process from 1025 carbon steel. The horizontal channel that runs down the rear cavity separates mass on the vertical axis for precise inertia and trajectory control, while they also have the same TW2 grooves used on the P7TW irons for enhanced spin playing out of the rough.
TaylorMade's website is now accepting orders for custom sets of RORS PROTO irons, set to be shipped at the end of September this year. They come with no stock shafts and are only available for complete custom builds, meaning you'll need to know your preferred specs and choice of shafts to really get these dialled in for your game.
A full set will run you £1479 fully customised and shipped, with pre-orders available now through both TaylorMade and Scottsdale Golf. You can take a look for yourself at the link below.
