Tiger Woods said his back was tight in the opening round at Memorial but it’s “no biggy” because he wasn't feeling any pain.

Woods fired a level-par round of 72, recovering with four birdies in his final nine holes after stuttering to four over after seven.

“I made a tweak in my swing, my setup, and lo and behold I was able to make some good swings on the back nine and turned the whole thing around.”

“I have days like that,”Tiger said. “My back is fused. I’m going to have days where it’s just tight. Unfortunately, today was one of those days, and that’s all right. I don’t have any pain, thank God. It’s just tight. So, no biggy.”

Woods had spinal fusion surgery on his back 13 months ago.
