We take a closer look at the swing of the Turkish Airlines Open champion
VICTOR DUBUISSON clinched his maiden European Tour title at the inaugural Turkish Airlines Open on Sunday.
The 23-year-old, who now becomes the highest-ever ranked Frenchman in the history of the world rankings at 39, is renowned as one of the biggest hitters in Europe and the story was little different in Turkey last week when Dubuisson cranked drives to an average of 299 yards with his Titleist 913D2.
From the snaps of Dubuisson below, one of the most striking aspects of his powerful driver swing to note is the width of his backswing. He stands with his feet quite far apart and takes the club back past parallel at the top. From there, the swing gets much narrower down into the ball as he coils and rips violently through the ball before striking a pose.
