Swing Sequence: Henrik Stenson

HENRIK STENSON is the newly crowned FedEx Cup and Race to Dubai champion and the 37-year-old will undoubtedly win many more times due to his efficient swing.

Consistency is key to Stenson’s game and off the tee he leads the PGA Tour in driving accuracy, hiting the fairway a staggering 72% of the time - okay, he does hit 3-wood a lot. He's also seventh in the greens in regulation charts on Tour so he is always giving himself a chance.

In Dubai last week, the World No.3 led the field in driving accuracy on 89% and average more than 300 yards off the tee with his TaylorMade SLDR driver.

From these series of snaps earlier this season, we can see Stenson stands tall throughout his swing and really goes at the ball. He has an evident weight shift back onto his right leg and then through on to his left side which provides him with his effortless power.

It’s a simple, effective swing that may not be the prettiest to watch on Tour but it’s serving him well and clearly stands up under pressure.

Let's take a closer look...
