5. Divot line drill

As expressed before, hitting the ball before the turf is vital for ball striking so here's another drill for you to practice.

Draw a line in the grass and make sure you're creating divots after the line or if you're practicing off matts then use a towel as the line marker.

If the towel moves then you know you've hit the ground before the ball. Getting used to this is important for improving your ball striking for any club from a 3-wood to a wedge.
