Disability golfer Brendan Lawlor signs with Synergy Investments

One of the world's leading disability golfers Brendan Lawlor has signed a new deal with Synergy Investments.

Lawlor, represented by Niall Horan's golf management company Modest Golf, is currently ranked fourth in the World Rankings for Golfers with Disability.

"I am delighted to sign with Synergy Investments," said Lawlor. "Now more than ever I really appreciate this great company supporting me on my journey in professional golf. "I'm excited to represent them. Thank you Synergy."

Synergy tweeted: "Excited to announce we are supporting the talented, top-five ranked Disability golfer and Modest! Golf client, Brendan Lawlor for the 2020 season. Good luck Brendan - looking forward to an incredible season!"

The 23-year-old Irishman enjoyed a stellar amateur career, which included victories in Germany, Belgium and Scotland in 2019. He then turned professional after competing in the World Invitational at Galgorm Spa & Resort in August.

Lawlor is just one of a number of golfing stars in Modest Golf's growing stable, which comprises the likes of recent PGA Tour winner Tyrrell Hatton, and European Tour winners Guido Migliozzi and Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

The Dundalk native has a rare condition called Ellis–van Creveld syndrome, characterised by a shorter stature and shorter limbs.

However, despite his disability, he expresses with confidence that he is still able to lead a normal, happy and healthy life.

Lawlor said recently: "Disability golf is still very fresh, especially in Ireland. It could get bigger or it could go nowhere but this is the time to push it on as much as we can."
