England Golf Awards 2026: Celebrating excellence across the game
Winners announced at England Golf Awards.

GolfMagic was at The Manchester Deansgate on Tuesday 3 March as the 2026 England Golf Awards celebrated the individuals, clubs, and initiatives shaping the game.
Hosted by TV presenter Chris Hollins, the event welcomed over 450 guests for an evening of recognition, inspiration, and celebration.
Across 13 categories, winners were chosen either by public nomination panels or England Golf’s championship and performance teams, with each receiving an engraved trophy and gift hamper.
A special Lifetime Service Award was presented posthumously to the family of David Lodge, honouring his enduring impact on English golf.
Meanwhile, eight new members were inducted into the England Golf Hall of Fame, recognising legends past and present.

Hall of Fame Inductees
- John Ball – First English amateur to win The Open (1890) and eight-time Amateur Champion.
- Pamela Barton – Teenage prodigy and wartime hero, remembered in British women’s golf.
- David Marsh MBE – English Amateur champion, Walker Cup stalwart, and influential administrator.
- Janet Melville – 1978 Women’s British Open winner and lifelong contributor to women’s golf.
- Justin Rose MBE – Major winner, Olympic champion, and Ryder Cup star.
- Karen Stupples – Women’s British Open winner and respected broadcaster.
- Joyce Wethered – Inter-war champion, renowned for her elegant, technically admired swing.
- Peter Wilson – Administrator who shaped English amateur golf structures and high-performance programmes.
The 2026 awards showcased both rising stars like Evie Sanderson and established icons such as Justin Rose, highlighting the full spectrum of talent, dedication, and innovation in English golf.
