Jason Day wins with new TaylorMade R15 driver

Jason Day ends year with victory

Jason Day praised his new TaylorMade R15 driver for helping him land the Franklin Templeton Shootout alongside Cameron Tringale.

Day joined forces with Tringale to finish one shot ahead of defending champions Matt Kuchar and Harris English in Greg Norman’s unofficial 12-team event at Tiburon Golf Club.

“The new R15 is a beast! Thanks @TaylorMadeGolf,” tweeted the two-time PGA Tour champion.

Day and Tringale opened with a 55 on Thursday in the Texas Scramble, shot a 64 on Friday in modified alternate-shot play and closed with a 65.

Despite the victory, Tringale, who used the new Titleist 915 D3 driver and 915 F fairway wood, has yet to win a PGA Tour event.
