FORE! Rock falls 1,000 feet onto Swiss course

How's this for a loose impediment! It's a giant rock that fell 1,000 feet on to the Matterhorn Golf club in Switzerland this week creating a giant crater before rolling on to the 8th green.

Fortunately no one was injured when the two-metre boulder was dislodged during a night-time thunderstorm in Taesch in the Swiss Alps and rolled along with other smaller rocks on to the course.

It is the first time such a rock fall has occurred in the town for 200 years.

Plans are in hand break up the unwelcome intruder and perhaps transform the giant crater left into a signature bunker.
