Tee up at Urban Golf this winter

If you’re anything like certain members of the Golfmagic team, winter is a time when you confine your clubs to the cupboard under the stairs, carefully avoiding the ironing board which, incidentally, you are meeting for the very first time.

As months pass until sunshine rises, fairways bake and strap meets shoulder, you are left bewildered as to why you game is suddenly in tatters while reloading on the first tee.

Sound familiar?

Well fear not, as Urban Golf – boasting luxury venues in Soho, Smithfield and Kensington - is now revolutionising a golfers’ colder months practice routine with its Winter Rules Coaching and Practice Package.

From January to March 2013, the indoor facility is providing golfers with six 30 minute lessons with a fully-qualified Urban Golf professional coach, and up to two hours of weekday practice between 10.30am and 6pm for £250.

Or you can upgrade to the Winter Rules Package Plus for an additional £35 and take advantage of all the above as well as a bespoke impartial equipment analysis ‘taster’ session to determine whether your clubs are working for or against your game.

And that’s not all, as throughout January you can hire Urban Golf’s simulators for half the usual price!

Urban Golf’s new aboutGolf simulators provide golfers with supremely accurate feedback through proprietary 3-Trac camera launch monitors, accelerating the learning process.

Golfers benefit from the instant feedback of raw data on every shot including ball speed, launch angle and spin rate to help them gravitate towards their optimal swing technique.

From the results, coach and golfer can then determine precisely how technique needs to adapt or be maintained for consistently desirable results.

Urban Golf has also slashed its beginner group lessons from £109 to £49 throughout January to March 2013, where players join like-minded new golfers in groups of up to six players for four weeks; two hours per week on Monday nights at 6 or 7pm (one hour of introductory coaching and another hour of practice).

Beginners will learn the essential basic swing technique and proper use of the different golf equipment, hopefully propelling them to a lifetime of fun on the golf course.
