We've all been there. A 20-yard screamer that hits the bar and flies into next door's back garden. But what about a wayward flop shot with a Pro V1? Unfortunately for one American golfer, that's exactly what happened - only he wish he'd never asked for it back!

According to police reports, a Pennsylvania man aged 55 pulled a pistol and threatened a golfer who had sent his golf ball flying into his backyard.

CBS Pittsburgh reports the incident took place at the Bonniebrook Golf Course in Butler County on Sunday afternoon. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it seems the man living in the house was not happy with the golfer trying to retrieve his golf ball from his yard.

State police said the man who pulled out the gun will be cited for terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

We can't be sure whether he got his Pro V1 back. Probably better to just use a set of Top Flites next time.
