Rick Shiels joined 10 lucky My Circle Golf members at the London Club for the official launch of the popular golf app.
Shiels offered lessons on the range, before hitting the course to play three holes of Texas Scramble with each group.
Prizes were handed out for closest to the pin on the stunning eighth hole, requiring players to fire over a large lake to find the green, and longest drive on the finishing hole. A Vlog from the day will be coming soon to Rick’s YouTube channel, so be sure to check it out.
The My Circle Golf app allows players to interact with a community of fellow golfers, providing the opportunity to find new courses and playing partners. Inspired by booming social networks, the app is available free to download for people wishing to play around London and the southeast.
Founder Gian Paolo Ziletti, created the app when he was struggling to find playing partners when he first moved to the UK. The Cambridge graduate said, "My Circle Golf hopes to encourage far more people to dust off their clubs, or provide help, guidance and a way into the game for those looking to try out the sport for the first time or in a new area."
