"There has been a lot of speculation" Paige Spiranac responds to Steph…

Golf social media sensation Paige Spiranac has taken to X to clear up speculation she was in the background of a viral Steph Curry golf shot celebration in San Francisco on Wednesday night.

Spiranac, 30, confirmed the picture of a lady jumping for joy during Golden State Warriors' 125-90 victory over Milwaukee Bucks was sadly not her.

Golf-mad Curry scored 29 points of his own during the win as Golden State moved to 33-28 for the season.

Curry could not resist but whip out a golf shot celebration at one stage during the match.

Spiranac tweeted: "There has been a lot of speculation surrounding this picture. That is not me in the back lol."

Four-time NBA Champion and two-time MVP Curry launched Underrated Golf in 2022 hosting 10 tournaments throughout the United States.

Curry's brand is now expanding with a second tour - Underrated Golf Europe.

The inaugural Underrated Golf European Tour will start at Walton Heath Golf Course in Surrey, 29-31 May.

Underrated Golf in partnership with United Airlines have helped junior golfers gain access to great courses and create a special and inclusive environment.

The purpose of the expansion to Europe is to provide access and opportunities to junior golfers and give them the chance to be front and centre with top-tier college recruiters.

Underrated Golf’s motive is to provide a viable pathway for everyone as like the U.S. the system for student athlete golfers throughout Europe is exclusive and exclusionary.

Curry said:

"We are thrilled to partner with United Airlines in launching the Underrated Golf European Tour and expand the brand to London for season three. Underrated Golf is a brand that will uplift and inspire underrepresented individuals who have yet to have equal access to the sport and the opportunities that come with it. Through this new initiative, we will be focusing on equity, ensuring that young females have the same access and opportunity as their male counterparts. It's time that we level the playing field, and ensure these student athletes throughout Europe have the critical tools and skills for a successful and sustainable future."

The top three boy and top three girl winners from the 2023 Curry Cup have been invited to play at Walton Heath for the opening tournament. The top boy and girl winners from that tournament will be entered into the 2024 Curry Cup.

Walton Heath Golf Club staged the 1981 Ryder Cup and more recently the 2023 AIG Women’s Open.
