Sergio Garcia may have taken some stick for receiving a wildcard in Thomas Bjorn's European side, but he repaid the Big Dane's faith by coming through with three out of four points to become Europe's all-time leading points scorer.

Garcia, who defeated Rickie Fowler 2&1 in the singles, now has 25.5 points to move half a point clear of Sir Nick Faldo who previously held the European record.
