Graeme McDowell has wanted nothing more this season than to play his way into The Open on home soil at Royal Portrush, and he narrowly did it with this clutch PAR SAVE from 30-feet on the final hole of the Canadian Open.

McDowell needed a par on the 72nd hole for a top-10 finish, enough to punch his ticket to The Open in July.

An errant tee shot into the rough meant G-Mac was forced to lay up short of the green, and he then sent his pitch behind the flag to some 30 feet.

With everything on the line for a home Open Championship, McDowell took his time and lined up the putt before curling it down the slope and into the cup for a par to finish tied eighth on 10-under par.
