Simpson has recently returned from injury at the start of the season and he has posted three fairly encouraging signs of a return to the winner's circle with three top-30 finishes in his last four starts on the PGA Tour.
The former US Open champion is without doubt the best player in the field this week and he rightly heads the betting at 11/1.
Canadian Adam Hadwin is another player who will fancy ending a five-year wait for victory on the PGA Tour after a number of top-10 finishes this season, most recently a tie for seventh in his last start at the US Open.
Sahith Theegala will likely still be kicking himself for his mistake in the sand on the final hole at the Travelers Championship on Sunday where he made double bogey to hand the title to Xander Schauffele - but the rookie will be looking to make immediate amends this week.
