Matthew Fitzpatrick, who will soon represent Europe in the forthcoming Ryder Cup, has confirmed his engagement to long-time girlfriend Katherine Gaal.
Taking to Instagram, Fitzpatrick posted five pictures of the moment he popped the question to Katherine.
According to the location, the 29-year-old English golfer asked Katherine to be his bride in Bay Head, New Jersey.
The golf star asked Katherine to be his forever and always underneath an archway of roses.
Katherine posted 'YES' along with a heart emoji on her private Instagram page.
Not much is known about Katherine as she likes to keep a low-profile. Their relationship appears to pre-date 2022.
She has, however, been spotted caddying for the 2022 U.S. Open champion at the annual Masters Par 3 Contest.
That was off the back of making her red carpet debut alongside Fitzpatrick at the premiere of the Netflix documentary Full Swing.
Fitzpatrick had an entire episode dedicated to him and golf fans got to see a behind-the-scenes look at his life off the course.
The older Fitzpatrick has taken a note of every single golf shot he has struck for the last 12 years.
