Fred Ridley is a prominent figure in the sport of golf.
He is currently the chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, one of the most prestigious and exclusive golf clubs in the world.
Of course, it is the home of The Masters.
Ridley assumed the role of chairman in 2017, succeeding Billy Payne.
Prior to his current position, Ridley had a successful career as a golfer, including winning the U.S. Amateur Championship in 1975.
He also served as captain of the U.S. Walker Cup team in 1987.
Prior to that, he also had a successful career as a lawyer, and served as the president of the United States Golf Association from 2004 to 2005.
