FootJoy has unveiled a number of performance upgrades and styling improvements to its market-leading ‘Big Four’ golf shoe categories ahead of the 2013 golfing season.

The immensely popular FJ ICON, XPS-1, DryJoys Tour and FJ Sport families have all been upgraded to provide the consumer with an even greater choice of patterns and modern colours along with a multitude of cutting-edge technologies.

“At FootJoy we continually strive to provide the consumer with fashionable designs fused with the very latest performance technologies, so they can look and play their very best in all conditions,” said FootJoy's European marketing manager Russell Lawes.

“With these upgrades we truly believe we have a golf shoe to suit the individual characteristics of all golfers. After all, you only have to look at the PGA and European Tour to see our brand ambassadors excelling on a weekly basis in all four of these styles.”

FootJoy says the 2013 iteration of the company’s flagship FJ ICON family, as worn by Luke Donald and Bubba Watson, sees the introduction of new upper patterns and outsole cosmetics alongside the latest technological advancements, to deliver optimum comfort, stability and traction, while the cutting-edge XPS-1 features two new colour options in 2013 of white/green and black.

The new DryJoys Tour range showcases traditional and contemporary upper patterns that can also be purchased with the BOA L4 Closure System, and the FJ Sport welcomes a completely new advanced outsole technology that incorporates a lightweight moulded EVA midsole and TPU outsole for soft underfoot cushioning with firm platform stability.
