Galvin Green specialises in the field of waterproof rain jackets and the Alex full zip jacket is one of its best. This rain jacket comes in Gore-Tex fabric with an ideal mesh lining and stretch function for the ultimate freedom of movement.
This is a very smart golf jacket with excellent breathability and I find the stretch fabric makes it extremely flexible and comfortable to wear following the several rounds I've worn the product.
It comes with an adjustable chest width and bottom edge, water repellent zippers and rain channels in the sleeve-ends. It's also quipped with a chest pocket, back pocket and two inside pockets.
While particularly comfortable and colourful, perfect attributes to my golfing wardrobe, it's the Gore-Tex stretch that gets me most excited here. You can't put a price on maximum freedom of movement when it's cold and rainy. I simply hate the thought of the rustle and heaviness of a waterproof jacket when the heavens open. There are no such problems here.
Okay, £250 sits at the top end of the market for waterproof jackets, but it's at the top end for a reason.
