Hi-Toe wedges are becoming extremely popular and now TaylorMade are offering it with a Raw finish, meaning over time, the face will start to rust to not only provide even more feel and spin, but also reduce glare from sunlight.

Golf courses are still shut in England so we haven't been able to take these out for a real spin just yet, but our equipment editor Alex was still able to use the new Hi-Toe Raw wedges at the Swing Suite at Croham Hurst Golf Club to provide you guys with some data from the launch monitor.

WATCH OUR REVIEW OF THE TAYLORMADE HI-TOE RAW WEDGE BELOW:

THE DETAILS:

Thick-Thin Design: A thinner topline along with additional mass redistributed nearer to the top of the spine allows engineers to optimize CG location for precise flight and enhanced feel.

Milled Grind: Milled Grind wedges ensure precision where it matters most. The process maximizes consistency when crafting each sole for repeatable performance and turf interaction.

Raw Face Technology: Raw Face Technology designed for increased spin, precision and feel with sharper, narrower and deeper grooves in the face, as well as laser etching. The face will rust over time and was engineered to preserve consistent spin throughout the life of the wedge.

Full Face Scoring Lines: Designed to encourage consistent ball contact out of the deep rough and increase spin on off-center strikes.

GOLFMAGIC VERDICT:

In terms of design, the new Hi-Toe Raw wedges from Taylormade aren't too dissimilar from the brand's MG2 wedges, which are one of our favourite wedges ever, so it was a smart move from TaylorMade to not stray too far away from them.

In the 60 degree wedge, the whole face is covered with grooves, helping players get spin even if they don't catch the ball out of the centre of the face, which can be very useful when facing bunkers. It takes some getting used to when the club is at address, but it's a proven technology and will only benefit your game.

The copper finish is incredible and we feel it perfectly blends classic feel with a modernistic twist and the colour will adjust over time thanks to the Raw finish, meaning a few weeks down the line, these wedges will look even better than when they first arrived.

Data isn't something you should focus on too much, especially Alex's numbers as yours will be different, but they performed exactly how you expect a high quality wedge to, with a brilliant spin rate and the dispersion rate was extremely pleasing for Alex during testing. Make sure you watch the review if you would like to see a little more detail about the launch monitor data.

The Hi-Toe wedge screams confidence at address which is something we think is crucial when it comes to wedges as if you're not feeling good about your shot, you're going to make a mess of it.

The RRP of £149 is perhaps a little on the expensive side, but most high-quality clubs from the top brands are these days.

Overall, the new TaylorMade Hi-Toe wedge provides golfers with an incredible looking club that gets even better over time thanks to the Raw finish. If you're thinking of adding one or two of these to your bag, you certainly won't be disappointed.
