PING launches new Sensor apparel

PING'S Autumn/Winter 2014 technical golf apparel line features the new Sensor platform of performance fabric technologies, set to be preferred by serious golfers keen on combining protection against the elements with clean and refined style on and off the course. 

Comprising of Sensor Cool, Sensor Warm, and Sensor Dry, the Sensor platform of performance fabric technologies maximises playability, whatever the conditions - from base layer to outerwear, the on course performance needs of the serious golfer are addressed.

At the heart of the Autumn/Winter line is Sensor Dry technology, providing guaranteed waterproof and wind resistant protection.  All Sensor Dry styles are also highly breathable, lightweight, and noise free.

Standout designs in the Autumn/Winter 2014 line, incorporating Sensor Dry technology, are the Altitude waterproof suit and Typhoon waterproof chino trouser, both guaranteed by PING to be waterproof for three years.

The Typhoon is a unique design and a real game changer. It has been engineered to look, feel and fit like a high-quality chino but offers the performance of a waterproof pant.  This ensures complete versatility for the golfer and provides an innovative alternative to carrying the traditional waterproof pant during the round, freeing up valuable space and weight in the golf bag. 

In the Typhoon, PING has utilised a lightweight chino twill surface, laminated to a high performance film to guarantee waterproof protection. A highly durable, water repellent finish has also been added to the surface of the fabric to bead water away from the garment and enable dirt to be easily wiped away.

Guaranteed waterproof protection is ensured with all seams sealed throughout. A stretch fabric and straight leg fit provide complete comfort and create the silhouette of a classic chino. The Typhoon also features a soft, stretchable lining, security side zip pockets and an internal self-sizer waistband, further increasing comfort during play.

Incorporating Sensor Dry properties, the waterproof Altitude suit features a lightweight, four-way stretch laminated fabric which has been developed for ultimate freedom in play whilst remaining highly breathable. A highly durable water repellent finish has been added to the surface of the fabric to help bead water away from the garment and keep it dry to touch. Waterproof zips and fully sealed seams offer complete waterproof protection on this jacket which PING guarantees for 3 years.

Other standout features include offset pockets to the front of the jacket to minimise distraction during play, adaptable zip-off sleeves and a scorecard pocket. Aesthetically, clean lines, subtle contrast colours and PING branding to the zip chest pocket and back neck give the suit a Tour-inspired look.
