The Belfry has hosted the Ryder Cup on four occasions but according to reports, the event will not return to the Warwickshire venue in 2031.

There are plans to build over 1,000 homes and a Ryder Cup golf course at Hulton Park in Bolton, but the initial proposal received large opposition.
