Manchester United WAG struck by errant golf shot at Dubai Desert Classic
Manchester United WAG Cam Reading, the girlfriend of Scott McTominay, reveals how she was struck by a golf shot at the Dubai Desert Classic won by Rory McIlroy.
The girlfriend of Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay appeared on the DP World Tour's Instagram page after being struck by an errant golf shot by Scott Jamieson at the Dubai Desert Classic.
McTominay and his girlfriend Cam Reading were enjoying a mini break in Dubai with Manchester United not in action over the weekend.
Jamieson airmailed an approach shot into the VIP stand where Reading and McTominay were watching on at Emirates Golf Club.
While Reading wasn't hurt by Jamieson's wayward golf shot, she explained how the ball struck her in the back and then ended up under her bum.
"Well this is awkward," Reading posted on her Instagram Story.
The DP World Tour's Instagram account captured the incident where both Reading and McTominay spoke about what happened.

As we join the DP World Tour clip, Manchester United midfield McTominay says: "We're going to have to get out of the way here. This is not good."
His girlfriend Reading then adds: "We were just sat here having a nice little conversation and then suddenly a bang happened over there and it [the ball] just bounced over and hit my back and then landed underneath my bum."
McTominay replies: "You can't actually write the script for that."
Reading adds: "First golf tournament and I've been hit by a golf ball, it's great!"
She said Jamieson let her keep the golf ball, and he later signed it for her.
Reading joked she might put the ball on eBay.
McTominay and Reading have been dating since 2022.

McTominay and Reading got to met Ed Sheeran later in the evening while out in Dubai.
Despite it being a rocky period for Manchester United this season, McTominay finds himself as one of the leading goalscorers for his club with six goals from 24 appearances in 2023/24.
The Scot's highlight of the season so far came when he scored two goals in injury time to oveturn a 1-0 deficit against Brentford into a 2-1 victory for his club on home turf at Old Trafford.
McTominay was not the only United player soaking up some sun in Dubai last week as both Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez spent some time in the United Arab Emirates.
Rory McIlroy went on to successfully defend the Dubai Desert Classic with a narrow one-stroke victory over 2023 Player of the Year Adrian Meronk.
McIlroy became the first player to win the tournament for a record fourth time.
