European Ryder Cup hopeful Matthew Fitzpatrick is only two shots off the lead at the weather-affected Omega European Masters in Switzerland.
Fitzpatrick has not secured automatic qualification to the forthcoming contest at Bethpage Black in New York.
He is expected to be handed one of Luke Donald's six captain's picks but the former World No.1 has urged all in contention not to let up until there are no more opportunities to impress.
Play on day three at Crans-sur-Sierre did not begin until 3pm local time on Saturday, with the leader Thriston Lawrence only managing to complete 12 holes before play was suspended.
Lawrence, a former champion here, hit seven birdies and one bogey to reach 17 under par. Fitzpatrick did not drop a shot, carding two eagles and three birdies before the hooter sounded.
Matt Wallace is also in the mix. The Englishman is keeping alive slim hopes he could make his debut in the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black.
Round three will resume at 7.50am. The final round will not begin until 10.30am.
