Jon Rahm's LIV Golf team will reportedly be called Legion XIII, according to multiple reports on social media.

Rahm, 30, sent shockwaves through the sport last month when he confirmed he was joining the Saudi-bankrolled LIV Golf League in a reported £450m move.

The two-time major champion will make his LIV Golf debut in early February.

Rahm's team name is expected to officially be announced as Legion XIII.

This name is inspired by the Spanish Legion formed by King Alfonso in 1920.

It is still unknown as to which three players will be joining Rahm on his LIV Golf team.

According to Marca, the Spaniard is going to unveil Kieran Vincent as his first signing on the team.

Vincent finished second behind Kalle Samooja at the recent LIV Golf Promotions event to take one of three places on the circuit for 2024.

The 26-year-old from Zimbabwe has one Asian Tour title to his name and he is ranked 399th in the world right now.

Vincent won the 2023 International Series Vietnam.

Jinichiro Kozuma finished third to also pick up a spot on LIV Golf.

Samooja was earlier this week leaked as a new signing on Martin Kaymer's Cleeks GC.

Whilst some have been supportive of Rahm's choice to finally take the money after the PGA Tour entered in negotiations with LIV's Saudi financiers, there are others who have been displeased at the 30-year-old's major U-turn.

Rahm had previously been critical of the breakaway tour's format and laughed at speculation linking him with a move.

"It's not a proper golf tournament," he previously said.

Recent reports have suggested LIV will have conversations about moving to playing 72 hole events instead of 54.

It is understood Rahm's team name and his team in full will be officially confirmed by LIV Golf over the coming days.
