Cameron Tringale has confirmed he intends to remain with LIV Golf if its proposed new era goes ahead in 2027, joining France’s Victor Perez and England’s Richard Bland in publicly committing to the league’s potential relaunch.

Phil Mickelson’s HyFlyers teammate becomes the third player to publicly declare his interest in LIV 2.0, with less than two weeks remaining until the current October 25 deadline for players to make their decisions.

However, while the trio are currently the only players to have openly confirmed their intentions, GolfMagic understands there is still plenty of interest from other players ahead of the league’s proposed new era, especially with LIV Golf prize purses still expected to be higher than those on the DP World Tour in 2027.

A source with knowledge of league operations has told GolfMagic that a number of players have expressed interest, with decisions still to be finalised before the deadline.

LIV Golf is preparing for a potential new chapter under proposed backing from credit firm BC Partners, following the Saudi Public Investment Fund’s decision to end its financial support after five years.

A potential $300 million investment could help fund the league’s next phase. GolfMagic also understands that BC Partners, which is led by Ted Goldthorpe, controls the final deadline for players to commit, with October 25 currently the date in place.

With that date fast approaching, the coming fortnight should provide greater clarity over which players intend to remain with LIV Golf in 2027 and who could look elsewhere.

Cameron Tringale confirms commitment to LIV's new era

Tringale’s intentions were reported by Flushing It, which confirmed the American would commit to LIV 2.0 if the proposed relaunch goes ahead.

“Cameron Tringale has also confirmed to me he will commit to LIV 2.0 if it happens,” the outlet posted on X.

The 39-year-old joined LIV Golf in August 2022 after resigning from the PGA Tour and has since represented Mickelson’s HyFlyers GC.

Six-time major champion Mickelson himself has been absent from LIV Golf for much of the 2026 season while dealing with personal matters, leaving Tringale’s commitment to the league’s proposed new era particularly notable.

Tringale has earned more than $18 million in prize money during his five years with LIV, having previously held the distinction of being the PGA Tour’s leading career money winner without an individual tournament victory.

His decision provides another indication of the players willing to continue with the league, although plenty of time remains for further commitments to emerge.

Cleeks GC duo also remain on board

Perez has also made clear that he hopes LIV Golf will continue, having credited the league with helping him rediscover his enjoyment of professional golf.

“As of today, I play for the Cleeks,” the Frenchman told Golf Planete.

“I hope the situation gets resolved, and I hope there’s a future for LIV 2.0 because they have been some really great tournaments.”

Perez, who finished tied second at the Spanish Open at the weekend, also explained that playing fewer tournaments had given him greater mental clarity and helped him appreciate the opportunities available through professional golf.

The 34-year-old added: “Playing fewer tournaments gave me a lot more mental clarity and allowed me to really appreciate the opportunity we have - to be here, to travel the world and play golf, and I think that if LIV hadn't existed, I might not have found that again.

“You can always look at the other side of the coin, and in this case it has been a great experience and a great year, and so naturally, I hope it continues.”

Bland was the first player to publicly commit to the proposed new era last week.

The Englishman explained to Flushing It Golf that he had little appetite for restarting his career on the DP World Tour as he approaches his 54th birthday.

He described his recent years with LIV as hugely positive and indicated that he would instead turn his attention towards senior major championships if the league failed to continue.

LIV Golf decisions expected before October 25

With deadline day looming, attention will turn to which other players make their intentions known.

Jon Rahm has already ruled himself out of LIV Golf’s proposed new era, while David Puig and Adrian Meronk have also indicated they will play no part either.

Sergio Garcia is another player who is expected to depart, with his focus reportedly shifting towards the DP World Tour and potentially another Ryder Cup team.

The DP World Tour’s decision to reject memberships for players seeking to join LIV 2.0 has added another consideration for those weighing up their options.

Nevertheless, the limited number of public declarations should not be taken as a complete picture of the interest surrounding LIV’s proposed future.

GolfMagic understands that other players are considering the opportunity, with discussions and decisions continuing ahead of the deadline.

Tringale, Perez and Bland have made their positions clear, but the picture could look considerably different by October 25.

The next two weeks should reveal which players are prepared to commit to LIV Golf’s proposed new era — and who will decide that their futures lie elsewhere.
