The Open Live: Final Round Leaderboard, Latest Scores, Tee Times and Highlights from Royal Portrush

Welcome to live final round leaderboard updates from the 153rd Open Championship in Northern Ireland.

Scottie Scheffler takes a commanding four-shot lead into the final round of The Open at Royal Portrush.

Scheffler, 29, strengthened his lead on day three from one to four shots after a flawless 67 on the Dunluce Links.

The World No.1 is looking to etch his name on the famous Claret Jug for the first time in his career.

Should he win The Open today then he will move to within one leg of completing the career grand slam.

Scheffler has two Masters titles and a PGA victory to his name.

He starts the day with a four-shot lead on 14-under par.

China's Haotong Li has emerged as Scheffler's chief threat on 10-under par.

Scheffler and Li get their final round underway at 2.30pm local time.

Matt Fitzpatrick is a further shot back on 9-under par.

Home favourite Rory McIlroy starts the final round six shots back on 8-under par alongside last week's Scottish Open champion Chris Gotterup, Harris English and Tyrrell Hatton.

McIlroy and Fitzpatrick tee off in the penultimate pairing of the day at 2.20pm.

Blistering front nine for Bryson

B. DeChambeau -6 (10*)

Bryson DeChambeau grabs his fourth birdie of the day at the 9th.

What might have been...

13:26
Rose moves up

J. Rose -6 (3*)

Justin Rose is on the green in two at the par-5 2nd with a long eagle putt. It's a great effort, but he'll have to settle for a par.

13:22
Rory McIlroy arrives

Rory McIlroy arrives with his caddie Harry Diamond.

McIlroy tees off with Matthew Fitzpatrick at 2.20pm, with the leaders following 10 minutes later.

I've never seen anything like what we saw yesterday.

The support and adulation McIlroy has received this week from his home fans has been remarkable to witness.

Will he win The Open? It's unlikely. But there should be fireworks.

Justin Rose starts with a par

J. Rose -5, H. Hall -5 (1)

How Justin Rose would love to win an Open Championship one day.

At 44, Rosey knows that he won't get too many more opportunities.

He has an outside chance to get to 6-under on the 1st hole, but his ball just slides by the cup.

13:09
Bryson DeChambeau edges closer to the top 10

B. DeChambeau -5 (7)

DeChambeau continues his charge up the leaderboard on championship Sunday at Royal Portrush.

A third birdie of the day drops at the par-5 7th, courtesy of a six-foot putt up the hill.

What a remarkable turnaround this has been for DeChambeau, who carded a 78 on Thursday and looked as though he was going to be one of several big names who missed the cut

12:54
Shane Lowry finishes with a bit of magic

S. Lowry -2 (66)

Huge ovation for the 2019 champion golfer of the year as he strides up the 18th fairway to bring his Open to a close.

Lowry has work to do to salvage a par as he's missed the green left.

Can he finish with a bit of magic?

Yes! Lowry almost holes out. Easy par.

That's a 66. The best score of the day so far...

12:43
Dustin Johnson tees off

D. Johnson -4, S. Im -4 (1*)

Dustin Johnson has made his first major championship cut here at Royal Portrush and is among the contingent on 4-under.

Johnson told reporters this week that it's going to suck not being involved in the forthcoming Ryder Cup.

He also plans to play LIV Golf for a few more years yet.

His opening tee shot finds the short stuff, but his approach finds the sand.

12:31
DeChambeau grabs another birdie

B. DeChambeau -4 (4)

Back-to-back birdies for Bryson, who marches to the 5th tee box with the look of a man who wants to go extremely low today.

12:28
Phil Mickelson posts 67

P. Mickelson +1 (67)

Phil Mickelson brings his Open to a close with a bogey-free final round of 67.

Lefty surged into the lead, albeit very briefly, on Thursday and was one of several golden oldies that rolled back the years by making the cut.

We look forward to seeing Mickelson at Royal Birkdale next July.

12:12
DeChambeau birdie

B. DeChambeau -3 (3)

Bryson DeChambeau, who was put on the clock yesterday, has made a fast start to his final round at The Open.

A birdie putt inside six feet drops at the par-3 3rd.

Fleetwood starts with a par

T. Fleetwood -3, J. Thomas -3 (1)

Tommy Fleetwood races a birdie putt past the cup at the 1st, but safely knocks in his par putt.

Fleetwood finished runner-up to Shane Lowry here in 2019 and would've undoubtedly backed himself to be further up the leaderboard by this point.

The wait will go on for Tommy.

12:04
Keegan Bradley ready to go

Keegan Bradley -4

The US Ryder Cup captain is on the tee box ready to kick off his final round.

Bradley finds himself in the middle of a rare conundrum, as he has played his way into contention for a spot on the 12-strong team that will head to Bethpage Black in September.

There has not been a playing captain at the Ryder Cup since Arnold Palmer led the US team in 1963.

"If I was sitting here without being captain then making this team would be my number one goal," Bradley said yesterday.

"That doesn't change with me being captain."

11:41
Lowry low round in progress

Lowry -2 (12)

Ireland's Lowry has the low round of the day in progress at 5-under thru 12.

He went out in 32 shots and he's just tucked away another birdie on the par-5 12th.

It's not going to be a successful Portrush Open defence for Lowry but he's fighting until the end.

11:20
McNealy hot start

McNealy -4 (3)

McNealy is showing what's possible in the early wave of final round groups at The Open.

He's 3-under thru 3 after an eagle at 2 and birdie at 3.

11:16
Sergio snaps driver

Garcia Par (6)

Garcia is level thru six holes but a video has emerged of him snapping his driver down the 2nd.

He even went on to make a birdie on the hole, but he gave it back at the 4th.

Garcia is looking to show something today with the Ryder Cup on the horizon.

The Spaniard still believes he has a chance to earn one of Donald's six picks on the team.
